StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party: 50 years of building international business relationships
With StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party approaching, we can’t wait to celebrate half a century of helping quality agents and educators build brilliant business relationships at StudyWorld 50 this September. And we are especially excited that the party is sponsored by long-time StudyWorld attendees Centre of English Studies (CES).
Justin Quinn, managing director of CES, said they have benefited from being associated with the quality of English UK membership, “so we wanted to give something back as a small thank you for the help and support over 25 years.” All CES’s English language teaching centres in the UK – based in Edinburgh, Harrogate, Leeds, Oxford, Wimbledon and Worthing – are members of English UK.
It’s going to be a great party (with a 1969 twist!)
50 years ago, in 1969, StudyWorld welcomed its very first delegates. And we are marking the occasion with StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party with CES, who are celebrating their 40th birthday this year!
Justin said: “It’s going to be a great party and we’re delighted to be involved. We’ll have a group of people there and we want to make sure it’s a good night. A 50th anniversary is a huge achievement in this day and age.”
Joining StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party couldn’t be easier. Just make sure you’re booked to attend StudyWorld – meeting passes and some tables are still available – and then turn up to Tattershall Castle, a floating pub moored on the River Thames, on Tuesday 3 September from 7pm.
It’s an informal, social night, so come along in casual wear with a fun 60s twist and your StudyWorld event badge. And if you’ve already registered, why not book an extra colleague to increase your number of meetings and share the networking opportunities?
Supporting StudyWorld for the last 25 years
CES has had a long association with StudyWorld.
“I think CES has attended every single StudyWorld in the last 25 years, I did 23 in a row. I’m a big supporter of it and the English UK team,” says Justin
StudyWorld has evolved a lot of over the past 50 years, adapting to changes in the international education market.
Justin said: “The good thing about StudyWorld is it wasn’t afraid to evolve and it wasn’t afraid to change. The format of all the conferences is very similar, but StudyWorld has now broken away and set up a new direction with networking and the villages.”
StudyWorld is about quality and time
“It is a much better networking event than any of the others – it’s in a great location, and the feedback we’ve got in the past couple of years is really good. StudyWorld is more about quality and more time with people, which helps us develop a much better understanding.”
StudyWorld is all about creating connections. Delegates can schedule up to 42 business meetings and can continue the conversation at networking lunches, welcome reception and StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party.
And helps us grow and evolve
Like many others, CES uses StudyWorld both to meet new partners and catch up with existing ones.
Justin said: “One of the harder parts of our job is when we get to the end of the summer – it’s nice to be able to sit down and talk to the customer in a good environment about how the season went: what was bad, what was good, what do they require? Our programmes need to be updated and we need to grow and evolve.
“You need more time to improve the quality of the product, and you get that at StudyWorld.”
If you want to get all the benefits of attending StudyWorld, including StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party, it’s not too late to book a table or an extra meeting pass, or contact Tim to discuss our many attendance options.
