Meet Chinese agents at StudyWorld to tap into the biggest non-EU market for international education
China is a key market for UK international education exporters, and StudyWorld is a great place to meet Chinese agents and partners.
Chinese students far exceed any other non-EU nationality in UK universities and in 2018 China was the second largest source market for UK English language providers.
This year we expect around 40 Chinese agents to attend StudyWorld, including a special delegation of agents selected by in-country experts at the British Council China.
For the first time this year, a delegation from China led by the Department for International Trade (DIT) will also join StudyWorld. This delegation is broad in scope and includes a number of large Chinese education providers seeking partnerships with UK organisations.
Tim Barker, StudyWorld’s commercial director, said: “We are excited to welcome so many buyers from such an important market for UK educators.”
Over 4,000 meetings already scheduled
Over 4,000 meetings requests have already been sent to connect UK educators and agents from 62 markets at StudyWorld this September. With the ratio of agents to educators at an incredible 2.3 to 1, it is not too late to join in and build valuable partnerships with Chinese agents and many others in markets that you need.
This year, StudyWorld has increased the number of agents by over 25% with delegates from more than 60 countries, including Argentina, Thailand, Chile and more.
Tim said: “With over 4,000 meetings already scheduled, be sure to send your requests now to avoid disappointment. Remember to take advantage of networking lunches, the welcome reception and StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party to connect with partners new and old.”
Agents are carefully selected to ensure quality and variety
The British Council’s agent delegation is selected by the education services manager in China to ensure quality and variety. After StudyWorld, they will visit English UK member centres in Oxford, Bristol, Bath and the surrounding area.
If you are looking to meet Chinese agents and other new partners from around the world, book a table or an extra meeting pass now to join us at StudyWorld 50. Unsure how you would like to attend? Contact Tim to discuss your options.
