StudyWorld 50: record agent bookings
StudyWorld’s 50th anniversary is shaping up to be an international event full of energy and high quality delegates showcasing UK education – find out why our StudyWorld Commercial Director Tim Barker is excited to welcome record numbers at this year’s event.
I’ve always loved an upward curve on a graph (it usually precedes good news!) and we are particularly pleased with the number of agents booked for StudyWorld 50 this September. We already have more agents booked than last year, with 300 individual agents confirmed, and counting. And all our agents are screened to ensure they represent high quality, professional organisations serious about doing business with UK educators.
We will be welcoming agents and diplomats from 60 countries this September. We are especially excited to welcome agents from key, long-distance students markets including Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan.
And, as always, StudyWorld is the best event of its kind to meet agents from China – we expect China to be our best-represented market, with delegates from over 40 agencies that specialise in Chinese recruitment. Important agencies from core markets including Italy, Spain and Russia will also be attending in good numbers.
This is a testament to the quality of the event and the educators, but also to the commitment of agents all around the world to the UK’s international education offer. They know the UK remains the number one destination for many international students to study and are focused on how not if this demand will continue to be met.
Eliana Gleide Vieira Silva, owner of Best Way Intercambios in Brazil, said: “The quality of the educators is outstanding. The event organisation is impeccable and the fam trips give the agents an invaluable opportunity to better know destinations and schools. It’s really a privilege to be part of the selected group of agents for such a wonderful workshop.”
Meeting the goals of educators
We are also delighted to see so many educators from across the sectors registering to meet with these agents. It’s been interesting to talk to many of you about your goals for the event: from meeting quality agents that you can trust to diversifying the student body to ensure a quality student experience. You also share the very human concern that events are comfortable and enjoyable to attend – no ringing ears and hoarse voices!
All this makes me sure that StudyWorld is developing in the right direction. Agents have shown they want a UK focused event; UK educators can rely on the seriousness of who they are meeting; and all delegates appreciate the professional environment and the opportunities for return on investment.
If you have yet to register for StudyWorld in September, it’s not too late. Our range of attendance options makes this an event that appeals to organisations of all shapes and sizes. Just drop me an email and I’ll arrange a call to discuss how it can work for you.
